Holga Necklace Tipster

Living in a country different to the one you grew up in can be somewhat of a challenge. I don’t mean challenge in a negative-or-requires-work-from-the-people-involved-kind-of-way, nor do I define challenge as a truly-awesome-blue-skies-truly-happy experience. It’s just the way of life I have chosen for myself at the moment and I love every bit of it! However, cultural differences exists and as every international student, au-pair or volunteer abroad will tell you, they can be as much fun as they can be a pain, so when it comes to traditions, I like to hold on to some, make new ones up and challenge my surroundings just a little bit.
See, again, the word challenge pops up over and over again, almost with an indefinable way – Hmm, not to self: Requires further pondering.
Anyway, you might have read my blog ‘spaces speak’ on the 6th of December and can remember how happy I was on that day, or you haven’t and now wonder what’s going on. If the latter is the case, fear not, here’s the low down and an awesome picture [click here] from the day:

The 6th of December is Nikolaustag at home and I like to hold on to this tradition.
So, in true tradition, I had been a good girl the whole year (yes I was!) cleaned my boots and placed them outside the door in pure excitement the night before.
So come morning, I was just too eager to get downstairs and explore – and boy was that awesome!

I was now the proud owner of a new blue case for my Instax camera, in the shape of a baby bird!!!, two photo albums  for the instant precious goods and a miniature Holga!!! Yeah, a tiny tiny Holga.
So despite what you might have heart, I had been a good girl.

Considering I absolutely adore my Holga and the fact that I had just received my first Holga WPC, I couldn’t have been happier. However, there was one tough choice I had to face:
Do I use my miniature Holga as a key ring – it came with special attachment specifically for such purposes – or do I wear it as a necklace???

Well, cameras belong around one’s neck and so I organised some sexy jeweller’s chain, got my pliers out and made my little Holga into an awesome necklace – yay!
So I thought I show you some pictures of my ‘make-miniature-Holga-into-a-stunning-piece-of-jewellery-for-it-asks-for-nothing-less-glamorous’ – operation. Let me know what you think!

[And drum roll please!!]
TAH-DAH! One Holga Necklace!!!
